SUMMARY:Week 2 of Houses Summer Sew Along: materials\, fabric\, and block sizes.
DESCRIPTION:Join me as I help you choose how to create your House blocks. I'll talk about fabric choices scale\, supplies and tools\, and everything else you need to know to get started!  I'll show you how I plan to use 10" and 5" precuts to make the project easier if you want to.  Precuts might be helpful\, but are not required.\n\nI'm going to demo improv cutting in real time\, as well as show off some completed blocks that use different sewing techniques.  Week One was about letting the idea of a house quilt percolate.  Week two is about dipping your toes into a couple of sample techniques.  Grab any fabric you have on hand for a mock up.  We are just trying techniques on for size today.  \n\nThis is a choose your own adventure project.  You can piece traditionally\, with improv\, or with collage techniques.  The options for quilting your project are traditional quilting\, quilt as you go\, or rag quilting.\n\nPlease share with a friend!
